In the second year of ESO we studied castles, dragons and dungeons. They have enjoyed a lot doing the pretasks and projects of the integrated unit.
En segundo de la ESO estudiamos la unidad de los castillos, dragones y mazmorras. Han disfrutado mucho haciendo las pretareas y proyectos de la unidad integrada.

On Thanksgiving Day, Harley made a presentation and the students did different interactive worksheets about the topic and about Black Friday.
El Día de Acción de Gracias, Harley hizo una presentación y los alumnos hicieron actividades interactivas a sobre el tema y también sobre el Black Friday.
In this first term, the UDI has consisted of the production of a simple photo-documentary, that is to say, a graphic presentation that integrates an audio file (“voice-over”, music) whose narration is synchronized with the images to which it is related.
Our photo documentary was about Romanticism, so the narration had to include and develop, in a clear, concise and brief way, the following contents:
1. Definition, chronology, historical context and general characteristics of Romanticism.
2. Characteristics of romantic painting, sculpture and architecture and the performance of a"living painting" in Physical Education.
A "living painting" consists of the representation in person of the characters of a painting adopting the same composition, light, foreshortenings and, if possible,clothing. The students have performed (completely or a detail) three works by different romantic painters (Eugène Delacroix, Francisco de Goya, Caspar David Friedrich, Theodore Géricault, etc.).
3. A passage from a literary work (verse or prose) by a key author of romantic literature in English (Byron, Shelley, Keats, etc.), at the proposal of the English teacher.
4. Three pieces by different romantic composers (Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, Schubert...).
"A Romantic gesture"
En este primer trimestre, la UDI consistirá en la elaboración de un sencillo fotodocumental,es decir, una presentación gráfica que integra un archivo de audio (“voz en off”, música) cuya narración está sincronizada con las imágenes con las que está relacionada.
Nuestro fotodocumental versaba sobre el Romanticismo, por lo que la narración tenía que incluir y desarrollar, de forma clara, concisa y breve, los siguientes contenidos:
1.Definición, cronología, contexto histórico y características generales del Romanticismo.
2. Características de la pintura, la escultura y la arquitectura románticas citando obras y autores.
3. Un pasaje de una obra literaria (verso o prosa) de un autor/a clave de la literatura romántica en lengua inglesa (Byron, Shelley, Keats, etc.).
4.Tres piezas de compositores/as románticos diferentes (Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, Schubert...). El perfomance “cuadro viviente” de Educación Física.
Un “cuadro viviente” consiste en la representación en persona de los personajes de una pintura, adoptando la misma composición, luz, escorzos y, a ser posible, ropajes. Los alumnos y alumnas han representado (al completo o un detalle) tres obras de pintores/as románticos diferentes (Eugène Delacroix, Francisco de Goya, Caspar David Friedrich, Theodore Géricault, etc.)

This year, our pupils of 1st ESO have enjoyed a lot doing the pretasks and projects of the integrated unit. They have written terror stories in English!! Also, they have worked the topic of the Moon and its phases in biology and in P.E. they have learnt the names of parts of the body and bones.
Este año, nuestros alumnos de 1º ESO han disfrutado mucho haciendo las pretareas y proyectos de la unidad integrada. ¡Han escrito historias de miedo en inglés!, también han trabajado las fases de la luna en bilogía y en E.F. han aprendido las partes del cuerpo y los huesos.
